Culture is today kept alive by the antique and prestigious University that every year attracts about 60.000 students (here studied the first graduate woman, Elena Lucrezia Cornaro).
Several precious treasures can be admired in the city: the fourteenth-century Scrovegni Chapel by Giotto (the most important pictorial cycle in the world), Saint Anthony’s Basilica, Prato della Valle (the second largest square in Europe), the majestic Palazzo della Ragione, Caffè Pedrocchi by the famous architect Jappelli, Galileo’s desk and the first anatomical theatre; many of these places are located nearby our Tailor’s shop.
Padova is a city to enjoy, where culinary and gastronomic traditions find their place in the many squares of the city, particularly in Piazza delle Erbe, Frutta and Signori, and among the narrow alleys of the ex Jewish ghetto.
